Sometimes I Don't Understand Society

One would think that if a lamp stopped working, you would at least change the light bulb to see if it was the light bulb that went out instead of going back to the store and trying to return the lamp because it simply stopped working. right?

I guess that's not the case for some people. (did I forget to mention that the lamp was about 3 years old?) (did I also forget to mention that there was a 90 day return policy?) (and did I also forget to mention that it was the light bulb that burned out, and not the lamp?)
